Title pretty much says it all. I’m been using Audacity successfully for days but today, it crashes every time I press record. I restarted my mac pro 7,1 running Sequoia, and I replaced my copy of Audacity with a new one. Nothing has helped. Any suggestions?
This is my life story. A minute after I post this, I try again and of course, now it works. So, please, still chime in with any suggestions, as I am now completely paranoid about it happening again. And thanks so much for your time and attention
I’ve seen this happen before, and in my case it was due to outdated audio drivers conflicting with the newer version of Audacity. Updating the drivers and resetting Audacity’s preferences fixed the crash. It might also be worth checking your input device settings and making sure the sample rate matches your project settings.
