Audacity version 2.4.2.0
Created several tracks (vocal, instrumental, precussion). After mixing theres a signal interfearence
at the start of the deep bass drum throughout song. Its not a T or pop P sound, it’s a light craking sound.
It’s a signal interference in messhing them, Completley destroys the mi.
How can this be corrected? WavePad program is perfect.
Craking sound after mixing drums and instrumental.
Mixing is done by summation so you can get clipping (distortion).
If you are mixing 2 tracks you can reduce both tracks by -6dB (50%) and they won’t clip (assuming they weren’t already clipped). If you are mixing more tracks, of course they have to be reduced more.
Or, you can export as 32-bit floating-point WAV which can go over 0dB without clipping. Then re-import the mix and use the Amplify or Normalize effect to bring the level down again before exporting to your desired format.
