The advice on Missing features - Audacity Support still applies. In your case go to the web site of the motherboard maker to see if they have Windows 10 drivers for your motherboard model number.
You can find basic information about the motherboard by installing CPU-Z.
Or type
dxdiag
in the Windows search box and press ENTER on your keyboard. DxDiag should show in the search results, so click on it.
Save the DxDiag report so you can refer to it. In the report, under “Sound Devices”, you should see a “Hardware ID” string for the built-in sound device. Mine is:
HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_111D&DEV_7605&SUBSYS_103C166F&REV_1001
Make a note of the four characters following “VEN_” (Vendor) and the four following “DEV_” (Device). You should then be able to find out the manufacturer of the audio chip on the motherboard by entering those characters on http://www.pcidatabase.com/index.php.
If in the end you can’t find Windows 10 drivers for the motherboard audio, there are other solutions you can try on Missing features - Audacity Support.
If you were looking for drivers, I strongly recommend downloading drivers only from manufacturers’ sites. The majority of third-party sites offering drivers are scam sites that want to harm your computer.
