Converting MP3 - MID Help Please ??

I have a few MP3 files which are keyboard/piano only files that I would like
to convert into MID format for input into my digital keyboard to use as
a teaching tool.

Is it possible to convert MP3-MID and if so, can you point me in the right direction.

I can’t seem to find MID when attempting to export file. What am I missing?

Audacity Version 2.0.5 / Win7

Audacity can export to MIDI, but only from a MIDI file.

See here for tools that attempt to detect notes in audio recordings and convert them to MIDI:

We can’t help you use those tools and please don’t expect perfect results with them.

Thanks I will check out that link

The mp3’s I am attempting to convert are musical keyboard files that
were ripped from a You-Tube video. With luck I can get them very close
since the is no other instrument playing other than the grand piano. Will let you know
how I make out - thanks again
