Good day,
I am new to Audacity: 3.7.4, Win 10.
I need to change the Bit Rate of 14,000 tracks in 1,700 folders. I digitized a friends and my vinyl album collections at 256 b/s. My old car played the tracks from a SSD with out a problem but the sound system in my new car prematurely skips to the next track. After much experiencing, the dealer and manufacturer were no help, I found that it can play a maximum Bit Rate of 192 b/s.
I found a way to convert multiple tracks in a individual album folder but I would like to batch convert multiple folders. The albums are organized by genre/ performer/ album/ track.
Is there a way? Can you help?
Thanks. Cal
A converter program will be easier than using an audio editor.
I’ve been using Kabuu Audio Converter. Once you’ve set-up your output format and output location, it’s just drag, drop, and click, and you can drop-in a batch of files.
…And if you have embedded album artwork Audacity can’t copy it into the new files. Kabuu should work better for that.
Thank you. I’ll give it a look. I did find “dBpoweramp Music Converter” that took 3 hours to change the bit rate to all 14,000 tracks and kept the folder structure.
