im just having a ton of problems with this I also checked and got a 9986 error message for my Mac 15 this is an outdated technology and is no good for Mac users anymore im giving up on them ive written and tried as many solutions as I can but nothings worked . audacity is outdated for a Mac im dumping them I suggest you do the same . I have a learning disability and this is the only option left
Audacity 3.7 includes LAME by default. There’s no need to install it separately.
