can't save audacity project in Windows 10

I can’t save a new project in Audacity (am using windows 10).

I get a ‘file not found’ message, even though I am trying to save under a new file name.

I also get a message from Windows defender saying it has blocked unauthorised changes.

I have added Audacity as a trusted app in windows 10 but this hasn’t helped.

What’s the file name?

Don’t use punctuation marks in filenames except -dash- and underscore.

Stay away from regular dates like 5/19/19. Use ISO dates such as 20190519.

Some punctuation marks have special meaning to Windows. That help?

You should be using Audacity 2.3.2. Some earlier Audacity versions had “Save As” problems.
