I usually use the WASAPI Loopback function to record. At first I couldn’t play back the audio in Audacity without switching to MME, but one day it magically fixed itself and I could both playback and record on WASAPI. Something has happened after I tried to get a microphone working and now I can’t playback anymore. It now says “Error opening sound device. Try changing the audio host, playback device and the project sample rate.” It was possible before so what’s gone wrong?
