I suddenly cannot import any audio files anymore. .wav, .m4p…none. It gives me a very generic error (see attached). I work with Windows 10, and my version of Audacity is 3.0.0.

So this was due to a bug in 3.0.0 which I believe was corrected in 3.0.2. See: Audacity 3.0.0 Win 10.0.19041 "Failed to open the project's database" - #17 by Jackferwerda
You should not be having this problem at in the current release: 3.1.3. Audacity ® | Downloads
