Just updated to Version 3.7.4 and can no longer save a new recording. Get a message the file doesn’t exist – which is true because it’s a new file. Also, cannot open an existing AUP3 file – get a message “failed to open data base”. I have over 400GB of free space on my SSD drive and can read/write files in the folder I’m trying to use. I’m running Audacity on a Windows 11 laptop and did not have any problems with the previous version.
I tried opening multiple AUP3 files, which I can browse to, but fail to open. It acting like a permission issue but the security properties for the folder/files shows full control for all users. And it’s strange to get a file not found message when trying to create i.e., save a new file.
I decided to uninstall 3.7.4 and reinstall 3.7.2 and all is working again. Not sure if the newer version has an issue or it was just a bad install. I going to wait for the next version past 3.7.4 before updating again.
