I’ve enjoyed using Audacity for years BUT NOW some data mining 3rd Party has gotten hold of it. Start an account? Just to download Audacity? Subscription model not making enough money?
The last griper got his post closed after 30 days. I want to hear more people complaining about this intrusion. Is there ANY WAY to get Audacity without MuseWeb?
On the Audacity Home Page There is a yellow “Download Audacity” button and right below that “Download Without Muse Hub,”

There is no intrusion.
Note that the muse hub is a first party service, provided by the same company as Audacity, audio.com, MuseScore and others.
First party or third party, I despise Muse Hub on MuseScore and I despise it on Audacity. It makes the entire downloading process cumbersome and sluggish. Bypass this cookie at all costs and download things directly through your browser, before they start forcing Muse Hub on you.
