Cannot vocode audio because stereo track does not match. HELP!

So I found an issue while vocoding audio. When I try to apply the effect, I get this box saying: “Sorry, cannot apply effect on stereo tracks where the tracks don’t match.” I need a way to fix this issue. How do I fix this issue? Thanks!
