My windows is 8.1
When installing audacity, a message appears ( unable to execute file issue code 216 this version of 1% is not
compatible with windows 8.1…contact the publisher)
Any help plz?
IIRC Windows 8 can be 32-bit, (64-bit is now the norm). If you download the latest version of Audacity you’ll automatically be given 64-bit version which is “not compatible” with a 32-bit Operating System.
If you have a 32-bit Operating System, you can only use the 32-bit version of Audacity,
