I have clicked update of the latest version and installed on my PC many times. However, the Audacity still keeps asking me to update the latest version. I checked my Audacity. It is still 3.4.2
I guess you are using the portable version? It doesn’t update that way.
You have to find the latest version and overwrite it/create a new folder.
I am thinking of the PortableApps version which comes with its own installer.
