Can no longer upload audio to audio.com

Hi,
I use Audacity nearly every day for my voice over career. Last night, all worked fine, and today when clicking the “share audio” button, it pops up with a message that says “Upload Error” “Error: An internal server error occurred”. When I went onto audio.com, I saw that it tried to upload my audio clips, they were listed, but there was no actual audio to them, as it didn’t really upload.
I’m particularly worried about this bug because my career depends on Audacity running smoothly. I’ve had previous bugs before that I’ve managed to find a way to avoid running into (I would attach a screenshot, but it says new users can only upload one photo), but this one is pretty unavoidable. I’ve tried unlinking and relinking my audio.com a few times, trying it with a new account, as well as uninstalling and reinstalling Audacity and restarting my computer.
Any suggestions?

Any way to save your work locally? It sure feels like an Audio.com error.

You didn’t overload it, right? I would expect an error message…

Thanks for the reply
Unfortunately, saving it locally doesn’t give me a link for the audio clip, so that’s something that’ll definitely be an issue, since a lot of clients do require links. Also, audio.com kind of keeps everything organized in a way where sometimes clients will listen through that like an additional portfolio. I’d hate to give it up :frowning:
What do you mean by overloading it? I wouldn’t think that’s the case, since I only tried to upload a short file, and then less than a second’s worth for my tests. I also thought Audio. com says there’s unlimited storage, but I could be wrong. I only have about 1,700 items uploaded to there, if that’s any indication of a potential overload.
If it’s on audio. com’s end, is this something that typically resolves? I’ve been trying to find a support for them as well, but it feels nearly impossible to find :upside_down_face:
Again, I appreciate your help.

I would call that Audio.com went down.

I’m searching from outside the Audacity system. Google, DuckDuckGo.

Can you try it from a different machine? I have a laptop and an office machine. That’s been handy when there’s something wrong.

Will it let you pull stuff down?

I don’t think Audadio.com has a help desk. I think you’re looking at it.

I did run across similar problems posted, but they’re all from a long time ago. I was hoping to find an excited posting about the Audio.com servers having problems very recently. No dice.

I understand you need connection and file management for clients, but for right now, do you have enough storage at home to park the show while we sort this out?

Koz

I kept trying to access it, and FINALLY it worked. Must’ve been an outage, then, since nothing actually changed to resolve it lol Fingers crossed that it holds up!
Thanks for all your help. Really, I appreciate it so much!!!

You should have a backup (even if that’s just another computer with Audacity) and I’d especially want a back-up of you cloud-internet requirements.

Maybe you should set-up your own website. Your own website can go down too, but you can usually recover or find another hosting service, etc.
