will anything be affected if i delete muse hub but keep audacity?

There is a download for an Audacity version without Muse Hub, just below the “standard” download link.
I’d also try to find everything belonging to Muse Hub in what is stored in ~/Library/Application Support/audacity
This said, I’d just try to remove all Muse Hub files and see whether Audacity still works or not. If not, download the other version.

Muse Hub is an additional service provided by Muse Group for distributing their free and paid products. It is not required by Audacity.

Probably yes. But if anything fails, you can still download the version without muse hub and continue with it.
Yes. Muse Hub and Audacity are two separate things. Muse Hub is more like a portal and sales vehicle. One of the things it can do is download Audacity. Audacity is a standalone application that does not rely on Muse Hub. I no longer keep Muse Hub installed. I found it to be buggy and salesy. The few tools I tried didn’t help much. Audacity can be downloaded without Muse Hub.
