Can anyone please help? Guitar amp hum wrecking interview!

Hi All,

I recently hired an audio guy to work with me on producing some video. We had 2 guys playing guitar and chatting about the guitars and they both wore lavs. We also had an amp with a mic right in front of it for the guitar feed.

The audio guy has sent me the tracks and the amp hum is ruining the cleanliness of the audio.

I have tried everything I know in FCPX and Ive been through a load of tutorials so this is a last ditch gasp for help! Can anyone make any suggestions?

There is a free Audacity plug-in to reduce mains hum … https://plugins.audacityteam.org/nyquist-plugins/effect-plugins/filters-and-eq#hum-remover

[ Having said that, store bought de-hum plug-ins can do a better job : less collateral damage ].

Did a ground loop isolator help?
