Trying to normalize the audio level of multiple MP3s so I can burn them to a CD; however, after getting it all set to go and save, Audacity sets the metadata to one Contributing Artist instead of retaining the original metadata. Is there a bypass or something so the finished, normalized audio retains the original metadata? appreciate any help.
If you use Windows you could fix the metadata with MP3tag and try MP3gain for the normalisation.
Since you posted this on the Audacity 3 section I am going to assume that is the version you are using. There is nothing you can do to improve the tags exported by Audacity. All you can do is fix them with a tag editor after extracting.
Version 4 might have better tag support. I have not tried it on the test release. Does anyone else know?
