Bug Report.jpg
The troubles started after having imported the second track (mp3)" I tried with another track and there is still troubles. Everything is blocked and I am obliged to force the closing of my file. I tried to uninstall and reinstall audacity, delete the plugins but nothing is working.

Thanks for your help.

Which version of Audacity? (look in “Audacity menu > About Audacity”)

Perhaps you could attach the report. (See: https://forum.audacityteam.org/t/how-to-attach-files-to-forum-posts/24026/1)

It looks like you were doing something after importing the second track. What precisely do you do to trigger the crash?

Thanks for answering so quickly. I was positioning the different parts of my first track along the timeline. I managed to make it work on my other (very old) computer which is on windows. I had a message when opening the audacity file, I accepted to delete some files (sorry do not know the word in English "fichiers orphelins) and then it worked. I had the same message with my Mac but after having accepted to delete the files, It crashed, I saved the log ( if it could help) :

The log doesn’t tell us anything useful (other than the Audacity version number).

What’s happening now? Do you still have a problem?

Hum ok. I thought the trouble could be with the FFmpeg libraries. Anyway it is still not working on Mac.

We can’t see your computer, so you need to be much more descriptive if you need help.

Bug reports are continually annoying. They pop up due to accidentally hitting the space bar and when your mouse is placed in the exact wrong location. Then they stall my computer newer macbook and the little wheel comes up. I wait and wait and wait and in the end I have to close audacity without given the option to save my files and I have to restart everything over. This has happened countless times.

Audacity, there are clearly buggy problems with your bug reports. Please fix this.

Bug reports are an attempt to gain useful information about bugs that actually help the developers to fix the probles, rather than vague complaints of “something went wrong”.
