Broken playback

I’m using Manjaro Linux, Audacity 2.3.2 installed from community repository through pamac.
Playback only plays briefly (a fraction of a second) and then stops. Dragging the white arrows to match the entire track makes no difference. The sound that does play comes out my headphones normally.

Are you the same person as this post, or is this just a weird coincidence? https://forum.audacityteam.org/t/opening-audacity-lags-out-microphone-until-reboot/53429/15

Nope, not me.

 Quite a coincidence then. Just checking that I’m not repeating myself.

What output do you get from the command:

That all looks normal to me.

How are your headphones connected to the computer?
What is your default recording device?

Headphones are connected via USB 3.0. Default recording device is a Blue Snowball iCE. Also, seems loading in regular audio files has the same effect.

Works now.
