BLURRED SOUND FROM USB MIC ON WINDOWS 10

I’ve just bought a Behringer C-1U USB microphone. I’ve been trying few days now to improve its sound!!!
The sound is terrible. Not only medium to high freqs are totally disappeared but also the sound distorts sometimes…
On the other hand, through Audacity, whenever I import mp3 files (music), the result is super without any problem at all on reproduction.
Working environment: Acer Aspire V3-572G, Windows 10 (after upgrading the Win8.1)
I would desperately need for some help
Regards,

Is this for vocal recording?

Check that there are no “Windows sound enhancements” enabled (see: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/faq_recording_troubleshooting.html#enhancements)

Are you using it like this?
(“pop shield” between mouth and microphone, distance about 10 to 20 cm, speaking/singing into the “side” (not the end) of the microphone)

Windows naturally wants your sound perfect…for conferencing, and voice communications. It sometimes sounds a bit like cellphone voices because that’s what cellphones are doing. Echo cancellation, volume processing, frequency tailoring. It’s pretty much the exact opposite of what you want for music. It’s probably going to mess up natural, theatrical AudioBook reading as well.

What are you using the microphone for? What’s the show?
