Blue Yeti listening while recording [SOLVED]

Split from Blue Yeti and listening while recording [SOLVED] - #10 by steve

Hi can you post a screenshot of this because i’m having the same problem but can’t seem to find that path on my windows 7. All i have is Start > Control Pan > Hardware and Sound …

Users that last posted eight months ago are not members of staff.

From the Control Panel you actually have to click “Hardware and Sound” and then “Sound”.

Right-click over the speaker icon by the system clock, then choose “Playback Devices”. Right-click over the Yeti USB device then choose “Properties”. Then click the “Levels” tab and turn off the Mute button for the microphone.

Note that the Microphone slider in the Playback Properties is supposed to control the level of Yeti playback sent to the computer output. Use the headphones volume knob on the Yeti to control the output level of the Yeti headphones.

That’s what i thought, but my blue yeti is not showing up in my playback devices. It only shows up in the recording devices. Does this mean I have a defect because I can’t seem to find anything else that could be the problem.

Right-click over the speaker icon by the system clock, then choose “Playback Devices”. Right-click over empty space, then click “Show disabled devices” then right-click again and click “Show Disconnected Devices”. When the Yeti USB device appears, right-click over it and choose “Properties”. Then click the “Levels” tab and turn off the Mute button for the microphone.

This page has useful information about how to configure Windows “Sound”: Missing features - Audacity Support .

If the Yeti still does not appear in Playback Devices, please contact Blue using this form: Microfoons | Logitech G .
