Bought a blue yeti mic and thought it would work fine with audacity (I’m using a mac). As soon as I hit record in Audacity, the real time sound that I hear in the headphones (plugged into yeti) stops. I messed around with every setting i could think of and it worked a couple times but then stopped the next time i tried to start a recording. I’ve seen lots of people say that this is an issue but are there any fixes?
My blue yeti nano works fine as well as my NT1 Mics with a Volt audio interface. I understand that a USB mic functions differently than an interface but I’m just at a loss for what to do here. If anyone has successfully used a blue yeti with audacity and used the in ear monitoring please help me out!

Which Audacity version? Update it if old?
Try disabling/enabling “Audible Input Monitoring” seen on screenshots below the highlighted stuff in Can’t find “software playthrough” option - Audacity 3 Help Forum - Audacity Forum.
Try out system audio setting 44.1 kHz vs 48 kHz? Restart Audacity after changing?
Play around with the selected recording and output device, see Audio Setup Toolbar - Audacity Manual /// Tutorial - Selecting Your Recording Device - Audacity Manual?
Looking at Voice monitoring stopped working, anyone know how to fix? : r/blueyeti perhaps the firmware needs an update.
