Ubuntu 22.04.1 TLS
Standard package installed
I have loaded a 2 hour 4 track into audacity. OK
Waveform looks good, plays OK. However
I expect the big I beam cursor to move as it plays
When I click on the waveform,
the second cursor appears OK,
and for 1/3 of a second the first missing PLAY I beam appears,
and slides along to the time, but then disappears after it’s 1/3 sec
It’s behaviour is good, but disappears.
Pressing STOP and PLAY it never appears at all
until I click as above
Windows guy here.
I am not sure which cursors you are referring to.
Do you have the same issues as with, say, a Generated Tone ?
Perhaps someone more familiar with Ubuntu will reply. In the meantime, you could try downloading the current Linux AppImage from here: Audacity ® | Downloads
