Best way to install Audacity 3.7.7 into Linux mint for functionality

I have been an Audacity enthusiast for many years. After recently converting to Mint from Windows I was frustrated to find that the “Software Installer” only ever installed very limited functionality into Audacity, especially regarding “Effects” you only ever got the very old “Legacy list”. One Limiter, one Compressor etc, regardless of trying updates and linux plugins and so on and so on.

However if you go to the Flathub website and install it from there you get the full 3.7.7. with all of the functionality and it works like a dream.

I’m on Mint and I just use the AppImage on the Audacity Downloads page.
