Behringer USB Audio Interface

Help! We have set up our Behringer U-Control UCA222 to feed our audio to computer, which registers its presence. But when I try to select it as an audio input with Audacity, it is not there as an option. Thank you for any advice you can provide.

Try “Transport menu > Rescan Audio Devices”, and then look again in the device toolbar.

I can’t find Transport Menu - where is this?
Thank you for your help!

In the Transport Menu at the top of the Audacity window. Make sure you are using the latest Audacity 2.0.5 ( Audacity ® | Download for Windows ).

Or just restart Audacity. If you add or remove devices after launching Audacity it cannot detect the change unless you rescan audio devices or restart the program.

still not there (updated version, rescanned devices, checked again and again). any other suggestions? Thank you.

Whaat version of Windows are you using? Check if Windows sees it in the Sound or Sounds and Audio Devices Control Panel. If not, change the USB cable.

Make sure you are not using Behringer’s ASIO drivers - Audacity as shipped does not see ASIO devices.

2 USB Audio CODEC is listing under Sound Devices. we are using Windows 7 Home Premium, SP1.

if we are not to use Behringer’s ASIO drivers, what should we be using?

Thanks so much for your continued help.

Don’t use any special drivers. If you plug in the Behringer without any special drivers it should use the standard Windows USB Audio Class drivers that are on the system. Those drivers just won’t give you the low latency that ASIO drivers would.
