Behringer UMC1820 or ADA8200 with audacity

made some mic input changes, but now when trying to record, I get error code 9997- invalid sample rate.
can anyone help with this??

Uh, put things back the way they used to be before you “fixed” it?

This can happen sometimes if Windows sees some incompatibility between your recording and playback devices. Here are some things to try:

1. Tools > Reset Configuraion
2. Rebooting PC
3. Turn off Software Playthrough and Overdub (Edit > Preferences > Recording)
4. Change Stereo to Mono
5. Switch between MME and Microsoft WASAPI
6. Check that the project, recording, and playback sample rates are all the same (e.g, 44,100): The project rate is in the lower left-hand corner of the Audacity screen. For the others, run mmsys.cpl, then click on the playback or recording tab, select your device, then properties, then the Advanced tab and the Default rate.
