Hi Folks
New to Audacity, I am trying to batch process some MP3 files using Windows 8 in order to make them loader, I am using ‘apply chain’
but keep getting the error message ‘your batch command off was not recognised’. I’m new to this sort of thing, anyone help?
Thanks
johnben
The message is self explanatory.
What version of Audacity are you using - all three numbers at Help > About Audacity?
Was the Chain supplied with Audacity, if so what is the Chain called?
Can you post the txt file for the Chain which is failing? You can find it at UsersAppDataRoamingAudacityChains . You may need to show hidden files and folders - please see here for how to do that http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/how-to-see-hidden-files-in-windows/ .

Hi Gale
Thanks for responding. The version of Audacity I am using is 2.0.4.
The txt file reads: Amplify: Ratio=1.000000
:
Leveller: dB=“-70 dB” Passes=2
ExportMp3:
"Was the Chain supplied with Audacity, if so what is the Chain called? "
Not sure what you mean, in Audacity I went to file then selected ‘edit chain’ added a couple of options and saved it. I then selected a few files I wanted to increase the volume on and got the error message ‘your batch command off was not recognised’.
Regards
John
The colon on its own line in the file is incorrect.
Please use the attached instead.

Hi Gale
That’s done the trick.
Thanks for your help.
