Back in Feb, a forum post discussed version 3.7.1 that did not have ad/popup on install

A GitHub link was provided “You can download the latest version of Audacity without any adverts, pop-ups or unwanted additional software from either of these pages”

3.7.1 exe provided does exactly as said.

However – the 3.7.4 branch downloaded from GitHub has a popup that starts with connecting to Audio.com

Does anyone know if there’s a way to get 3.7.4 without the popup on install?

Download from Audacityteam.org and click where it says “Download Without Muse Hub”.

Thanks - I should’ve given a better description.

In particular I was speaking to the popup to use audio.com (Complete your Audacity cloud setup with Audio.com - Continue), which is part of “Show ‘How to Get Help’ at launch.”

This is accessible to turn off in Preferences (or in the audacity.config) – but hoping to have it off with initial install/startup. The 3.7.1 installer on GitHub doesn’t have it. Everything from 3.7.2 - 3.7.4 does.

Is there a reason that you need a later version than 3.7.1?
