I have OS X 10.9.4. I downloaded audacity 2.0.5 dmg installer version. i’ve corrected my latency issues and exporting mp3 files has been no problem. The only issue is that my vst plugin “Autotune Evo Vst 6” is not showing up in effects. I checked “rescan vst effects next time audacity is restarted” and it gives me the option to install the plugin but it still doesn’t show up in effects. I have all the audacity folders moved into applications and have both the vst bridge 1.1 and auto tune eve moved into plugins. I tried making an untitled folder with vat bridge and putting the auto tune plugin inside of that, but still no luck. Any Ideas?
No luck with auvox evo au version 3.0.3 or auto talent… auto talent was a zip file do i have to extract it somehow? I clicked show package contents and dragged it to plugins but as I said no luck… I’m confused. I feel like I’m missing something very basic.
If the plug-in is 64-bit Audacity will not see it.
Yes. Just double-click the zip file to extract the contents to a folder.
If you chose “autotalent.vst” and put it in the Audacity “Plug-ins” folder then you will need to do Audacity > Preferences… , choose “Effects” on the left, enable the option to rescan VST effects then restart Audacity. The plug-in will be underneath the divider in the Effect Menu, under “Oli Larkin”.
If you chose “autotalent.component” which is an Audio Units version of the plug-in, you cannot put that in the Audacity “Plug-ins” folder. Audio Units must be put in ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components or /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components. Then restart Audacity.
Phew! Thanks for your time and patience Gale. I got auto talent finally installed and its working well. Like you said, it was under olilarken. Thanks again, its a nice plugin btw. I would recommend it.
