Automatic track splitting

It would be a very handy feature to be able to automatically split incoming audio into separate tracks, either by silence detection, or more simply, just a timer.

You can use “Silence Finder” or “Regular Interval Labels” from the Analyze menu

Hi there,I cannot seem to enable the silence finder plug-in,despite it being in the Nyquist and Plug-in folder.

How do I activate it ?

As with all effects and many other operations, you must have some audio selected that the effect is going to operate on. To select a complete track, click on the box at the left side of the track.

For using “Export Multiple” your modification will create too many tracks - (see response on https://forum.audacityteam.org/t/minimum-length-mod-for-silence-marker-and-sound-finder/11208/6 )
