Even if Audacity 3.2.0 is able to use Auto-Tune, Auto-Tune’s MIDI features will still not work in Audacity as Audacity still does not have sufficient MIDI capabilities. For anyone serious about using Auto-Tune, my advice is to use one of the officially supported host applications.
Hi
Thank you for letting me know about this. The only request I have is to see if the developers of Audacity 3.2 can ensure that the Auto-Tune plugins from Antares can be compatible with Audacity 3.2 and work properly in Audacity 3.2.
Thank you for your time.
As I noted in an earlier reply about a year ago, it’s up really up to the plug-in developer to make it compatible with the host.
It might work with 3.2 and there should be some things Audacity’s developers can do but I doubt that Antares will ever officially support Audacity. …Most Audacity users don’t want to pay for plug-ins.
And we can’t expect Audacity’s developers to test & debug compatibility with every plug-in (or every popular plug-in) and then keep-up every time a plug-in is updated/revised.
As I wrote previously, Audacity 3.2.0 will not fully support Auto-Tune because Audacity 3.2.0 will not have MIDI features that are required to fully support Auto-Tune.
For anyone serious about using Auto-Tune, my advice is to use one of the officially supported host applications. See: Auto-Tune - The Best Vocal Plug-Ins Available
Hi Audacity
Thank you for making VST 3 plugins compatible with the latest version of Audacity! I am now finally able to use Auto-Tune Pro in Audacity which is really awesome! Thank you to everybody involved in making this possible!
