Audiobook-Mastering-Macro

I was wondering if it still worked. It addresses certain existing tools and filters to do the work. It’s not a sound program. I wrote a long tutorial on how to do Audiobook Mastering manually, and then crushed it all into one Macro. Who said I wasn’t a programmer?

As the Audacity tools and filters got changed over time, I would have bet at least some of it didn’t work any more.

I keep meaning to check it.

One other oddity. I’m not much of a fan of the modern Audacity versions. 3.7-something??
I use the older 3.6.2 for everything.

Glad you got it to work. You may note that it applies one correction to the whole chapter. It doesn’t try to follow you sentence by sentence. Announcing with good quality fuzzy headphones helps you keep constant volume.

Well i don’t know any other version, so I’m learning as I go… maybe I should have gone ahead and downloaded an older version, but if i learn this one, then it will eventually be the old version? ha!

good quality fuzzy headphones? do tell. what variety should I be looking for? I really am brand new to all of this. I’ve done a dive, but not a deep dive just yet.

Anything that covers up your ears so the sound doesn’t leak out to the microphone.

I’m suppose to recommend the Sony MDR-7506.

Those are the universal Movie Production headphones. Every movie set—full stop. However, I don’t own a pair because their claim to fame is to show the sound person errors and damage before the director can hear it. They’re almost painful.

Same with Koss Pro4AA and Behringer HPS3000.

My big headphones are Sennheiser eH-150.

They are very smooth and pleasant with a slight bass boost. I have no trouble listening to a movie in them. I have two.

I didn’t think they were made any more…

3.7. something versions claim to fame is causing sound damage that doesn’t happen in earlier versions. That’s about the time they started to pump out versions just to have something to pump out. It’s a popularity/attention grabby thing, not quality audio.

That’s also about the time that Audacity went to corporate ownership and not supported by a bunch of international volunteers.

I have a joke about that. I “created” a picture of the Audacity Lands-End World Headquarters.

I truly enjoy this application,

To me it is second to none.

Thank you all that made this possible,.

okay. i get that. sometimes orgs just want to push it out to get the “new thing” out there… regardless of whether there is proper benefit.
