Audio file compleltly flat and silent

Hi there yall,

I came back to an audio file is was working on that was not saved correctly.

One of the audio tracks is completely flat a silent. I think the issue is with a noise gate that was added.

I am unable to undo the noise gate (or at least do not know how).

I am also unable to find the original and just start over. otherwise i would have done that already.

Photo below the problem audio track is the bottom one labelled Phil.

Any advice is appreciated as it stands now i will have to scrap the whole project unless i can fix that track.

If it was saved like that (silent) and closed there’s no reversing it.

A noise-gate can silence a track, but so can corruption of the Audacity project.

If you’re using cloud storage, (e.g. OneDrive), whilst editing, that can fail to save projects correctly.
