Audio editing updates that aren't working

Hi, I don’t post here often. After the latest update for Audacity I have noticed a few things which are irritating now.

  1. When playing back audio tracks, the screen doesn’t follow the marker like it used to, so you don’t know whereabouts you are on playback.

  2. When highlighting a section of audio track to cut or copy the whole track tends to move back and forth which prevents you from highlighting a section.

Is it possible to get more colours to identify different tracks? So far there’s only green, blue, back and purple, sometimes red with a different skin colour but could do with a lot more to distinguish each track for editing. If not, is there a way I could do this myself?
