Version 4.0 is available for download, which is known to bring many changes. I often use Effects/Dominic Mazzoni/High Pass Filter for my microphone recordings. Is this effect still included in the new version 4? In order to test the new version 4, I would like to install it separately next to the still installed version 3.7.9. Is this possible and if so, on the same drive where version 3.7.9 is installed ( C ) or better on another drive e.g. D or vice versa?
I installed Audacity 4 on a different drive alongside version 3.7.9. The first impression brought a slight disappointment. The translation into German is only partial. Large passages of text in the menus are in English or a mix of German and English. The manual is not yet available in German for version 4. There is actually no help in the Help menu. What also bothers me is that when you open the program you don’t immediately end up in the work interface, but only reach it by clicking on the big cross again Too bad. Will work with verse 3.7.9 for now. What also bothers me is that you can’t permanently adjust the height of the tracks. The height set for the project by dragging the line will be lost the next time the program is started. It’s annoying when you have to adjust the height every time. It’s a shame that such an unfinished product was released.
