I am reasonably knowledgable about these things. I have read this guide:
I have its et up exactly as instructed to the best of my ability and I still cannot get things to work. The only difference from those settings is that I have it set at 48000 Hz in Audacity because in my windows audio settings that is the only option in sound properties for the device (2 channels, 16 bit, 48000).
Everything else is setup exactly as specified. Yet when I record input audio, the result I get sounds totally warped and messed up. I’m not even sure how else to describe the result - like underwater/in a tin-can sounding.
I have tried two different turntables, and I have tried capturing the input on two different laptops - each time with the exact same result. I am at a complete loss.
