Using Audacity 3.3.3, Windows 10. It used to be that when you would close a file, audacity would stay on top (in the open window, wherever it was) and you could quickly open or paste a new file. Now, when you close audacity files (CTRL-W), Audacity minimizes itself to the taskbar so you have to click the taskbar icon to open it again. I can’t find a setting to make Audacity stay on top. Help? Thank you
This could happen if you have two Audacity windows open simultaneously.
I don’t have two windows open.
So I think there is something else going on here. On my WIndows 10 machine with Audacity 3.3.3, I open Audacity, Ctrl+W to close, the window refreshes then reopens. It does the same thing whether or not the screen is maximized and whether or not I have “Generated” some audio.
I am unable to duplicate your issue other that what I mentioned in the previous post.
