Audacity-> Sony Record player

I just got this Sony record player and was wondering if i could plug it into my computer using USB And use audacity to listen to it because i don’t know i just want to and its cool.

You don’t need Audacity (or any application) to listen to a USB audio device. If you don’t hear it by default, you can right-click the Windows speaker/volume icon and select Recording Devices* to enable it and then by selecting Properties you can select Listen to this device, and you can adjust the volume, etc.

  • A “recording device” is an input device, such as a microphone or turntable. A “playback device” is an output device such as speakers or headphones.
