After updating to 3.75, every time I try to record something, a crackle keeps recurring in a consistent beat. I’ve tried several different inputs, after turning down the input volume so there is no overload, and the crackle keeps appearing. This is the first time this has happened since using Audacity over 10 years.
You are probably getting dropouts caused by interrupts and multi-tasking.
It can be a difficult problem because your operating system is always multi-tasking and interrupting even if you are only running one application.
