Audacity recognizes mic, but Won't record with Yeti USB mike on my MAC Os 27.01

Got this error: Error opening recording

System settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone:
is Audacity allowed to access your Microphone?

Thanks! That was it. now I have to figure out why connecting with this forum is so sporadic–just to answer your reply I had to click 4X into my account here, with all sorts of error msgs, etc. Does this happen a lot with Audacity help?

It’s started happening recently after the security was beefed up after attacks on the website. That was the reason I was given
