I am using Windows 10 and Audacity 3.1.3
I keep having this issue where I will export a file from Audacity into mp3 or wav (doesn’t matter which format) – when I play it back on my computer (VLC) it plays fine, but whenever I try to upload it to, for instance, Soundcloud or Dropbox it sounds awful – kind of that cracking sound like the speakers are being blown out (I’m not sure what the technical term is for that). I have no idea why it does that. Any suggestions?
SoundCloud transcodes the audio you upload,
that could result in clipping/distortion if the audio you upload is has no headroom.
