I use Audacity 3.7.7 64-bit on Windows 11 Prof. After a Windows update from February 10, 2026, I only saw the Audacity icon as a standard icon in the Windows taskbar. I tried a lot of things, such as creating a different icon via properties, a new installation of the program and different settings. But the default icon in the taskbar remained unchanged. The shortcut to the desktop, however, appeared as a real icon. I generally install all programs on the D drive. This includes Audacity and has done so for many years. I then removed Audacity from the D drive and reinstalled it on C/Program Files. I was then able to place the shortcut with the correct icon on the taskbar. Can someone explain to me why it suddenly stopped working like it used to?

Nach einem Windows Update vom 10.02.2026 sah ich in der Windows Taskleiste das Audacity Icon nur als Standard-Icon.
Ich habe vieles versucht, wie über Eigenschaften ein anderes Icon zu erstellen, eine neue Installation des Programms verschieden Einstellungen. Aber das Standard-Icon in der Taskleiste blieb unverändert. Die Verknüpfung auf den Desktop hingegen erschien als richtiges Icon.
Im Allgemeinen installiere ich alle Programme auf dem Laufwerk D. So auch Audacity und das schon so seit vielen Jahren. Ich habe dann Audacity vom Laufwerk D entfernt und neu auf C/Programme installiert. Danach konnte ich die Verknüpfung mit dem richtigen Icon auf der Taskleiste platzieren.
Kann mir jemand erklären, warum das auf einmal nicht mehr so wie früher funktioniert hat??
