Audacity not recording in stereo

Hi,
I am trying to record in stereo using Audacity 3.7.0. I am only getting the top/left channel; the right/bottom channel is flat.

Both Audacity and Windows settings are set to record in stereo; in Windows, audio enhancements is off.

When I plug in my Raizer USB mic directly to m computer’s USB port, it works properly.

Equipment:
Asus ROG Strix SCAR 18
Windows 11
PreSonus AudioBox iOne preamp
Audio-Technica AT2020 mic

Setup: the mic is plugged into the preamp; the preamp is plugged into the computer via USB, the hip bone is connected to the thigh bone.

Your PreSonus interface has a microphone input for the left and a guitar input for the right.

If you record in mono, or kill the silent channel after recording to make a mono file, a mono file will play through both speakers.

Note that if you record in mono you may pick-up a little noise from the instrument input, and the signal(s) will be cut in half so they can’t go over 0dB when combined.

The box isn’t smart enough to know that nothing’s plugged into the “inst 2” jack, huh? Figures

Thanks for the help!
