Audacity Muffled Audio Help

Hi Everyone,

I’m encountering a some strange audio issues in Audacity. It sounds incredibly muffled and IDK why.

I haven’t changed any of my settings at the time of recording this, but did later update Audacity to the latest version thinking it may solve the problem. I also ran noise reduction to no effect.

I use a HyperX Quadcast Mic along with Audacity. If anyone can tell me how to fix this I would appreciate it.

It has nothing above 8kHz. OK for Skype/Zoom, but >14kHz needed for pro quality

Check the microphone properties is 44.1KHz/48kHz …https://youtu.be/59QY0WL3f64&t=83
and that Audacity’s project rate matches (44.1KHz/48kHz).

It was the audio enhancements. I turned those off and now everything sounds fine. TYSM!
