The help I got with my last question was so good, I thought I’d try a couple more.
First, is there any way to print out (I know, very old skool) a paper version of the Audacity manual?
And - if I already have Audacity 2.0.4, can I download the new 2.0.5 version? Do I need to establish a new log-on and password? Do I need to delete the version I have?
Sorry if these are basic questions, but I am just finding my feet in the virtual world!
Thank you so much for any help you can offer. I appreciate it.
Unfortunately not, except page by page.
Yes we strongly encourage updating to the latest version as soon as released, then you will have the latest features and bug fixes.
If you are not already doing so, you may subscribe here http://audacityteam.org/#announce to receive an e-mail when we release new versions of Audacity. To subscribe, enter your e-mail address and click “Add”.
If you have installed a program on Windows using an EXE or MSI installer, you should always uninstall it using the Windows Control Panel, not just delete it.
As regards Audacity you can install 2.0.5 straight over (into the same directory as) 2.0.4 without uninstalling 2.0.4 first. See http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_installation_and_plug_ins.html#exe .
