I have tried re-installing audacity and changing the sample rate but nothign works, does anyone have a fix for this

What output device are you trying to use?

External headphones, but it gave me that error when i used normal speakers too
i reinstalled audacity again and its working fine, ill tell you if it starts giving me the error message again

Audacity can lose devices if they are plugged or unplugged while Audacity is running. Typically Transport > Rescan Audio Devices will find them again.
