Audacity filters out mostly everything but a bit of vocals and some sounds

when i record on audacity it just filters out alot of things like drums, synths, and parts of my voice.

Make sure Windows “Enhancements” are turned OFF.

One of the tricks that voice processors use is to identify and filter out all extended tones or sounds. This can get rid of most room trash, electrical noises … and your singing voice.

It’s not always Widows Software, either. Skype, Zoom, Meetings, etc can all do that if you leave them running in the background.
