oudacity just doesnt import anything
FFmpeg is not included in Audacity. It has to be downloaded and installed separately. Instructions are here: Installing FFmpeg - Audacity Support
i have it installed already
Audacity doesn’t need FFmpeg to import regular WAV or MP3 files.
Check the file format with MediaInfoOnline (or you can install MediaInfo on your computer).
Can you play the file on your computer with Windows Media Player, or whatever you normally use?
If you can play the file you can use Audacity to record the audio as it’s playing.
