Audacity Crashes On All MP3 Exports

Hello crew,
Thanks for reading. Currently running OS X 10.7.5 on old Macbook Pro with the newest Audacity. I may have interrupted the LAME location process somehow. I have downloaded both the older version and the 64-bit version, and tried to have them locate those files through preferences.

I select MP3 export, click through the settings, then once I hit “OK” after the titling process the program crashes. This is both for the MP3 and FFMPEG process. I no longer make it to the “locate LAME” screen.

I am able to export WAV files. Any help here appreciated. Apologies if any required info is missing, I will fill in whatever required.

Audacity 2.3.1 (64-bit) requires the 64-bit versions of LAME and FFmpeg. If you believe that you have installed Audacity 2.3.1 and the 64-bit versions of LAME and FFmpeg correctly but have messed up Audacity’s settings somehow, then you could try resetting Audacity. To do that, you need to delete the “audacity.cfg” file. See this post for detailed instructions: https://forum.audacityteam.org/t/resetting-audacity/50613/1
